Driver flees scene after Thursday evening collision near Paradise Road
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police are searching for a driver who fled the scene of a two-vehicle crash Thursday evening on one of the city’s busiest east-west thoroughfares.
The collision occurred around 8:40 p.m. on Sahara Avenue near its intersection with Paradise Road, a major corridor that connects the Las Vegas Strip to the eastern valley. The location sees heavy traffic as Paradise Road serves as a primary route from Harry Reid International Airport to the resort corridor.
Impact forces airbag deployment
According to LVMPD officials, the crash was significant enough to trigger airbag deployment in at least one of the vehicles involved. The force of the impact suggests speeds may have been a factor, though investigators have not yet confirmed the exact circumstances leading to the collision.
One driver remained at the scene and sustained minor injuries, while the second vehicle’s operator left the area before police arrived. The injured driver received medical attention at the scene.

Metro Police have not released descriptions of either vehicle involved or any suspect information at this time. Officers are likely reviewing surveillance footage from nearby businesses and traffic cameras along the busy commercial corridor.
