Motorists urged to seek alternate routes during early morning construction
LAS VEGAS — Starting at midnight on Tuesday, September 2, both northbound and southbound lanes of Las Vegas Boulevard will be reduced between 12 a.m. and 9 a.m. each night through Friday, September 5. Drivers are encouraged to plan alternate routes and expect delays during this time.
What drivers should know
- The lane reductions will take place during the early morning hours to minimize daytime disruptions.
- Both directions on Las Vegas Boulevard will be affected.
- The work is expected to support ongoing infrastructure upgrades or scheduled road maintenance near the Strip.
- Traffic near major hotels, casinos, and intersections may be impacted.
Related roadwork in the area
This temporary traffic change is one of several taking place in and around the Las Vegas Strip, with other projects related to utility upgrades and event preparations. Drivers who frequent Harmon Avenue or Tropicana Avenue should also stay alert for upcoming detours and closures.
Early morning travelers — including shift workers and those heading to the airport — are advised to check navigation apps for real-time updates and give themselves extra time.
