Lady Gaga electrifies Vegas with spectacular Mayhem Ball tour opener

Pop superstar delivers two-hour theatrical extravaganza at T-Mobile Arena
Lady Gaga brought her highly anticipated “Mayhem Ball” tour to Las Vegas Wednesday night, transforming T-Mobile Arena into a theatrical wonderland for over two hours of pure pop spectacle. The show, which kicked off at 8:40 p.m., marked the official beginning of her 2025 North American tour supporting her seventh studio album “Mayhem.”
The Vegas opening night featured an expanded setlist that built upon her acclaimed Coachella performance from April, with several crowd favorites making their return. Notable additions included “Applause,” “Just Dance,” and tracks from her latest album like “Shadow of a Man” and “LoveDrug.”
A theatrical journey through Gaga’s catalog
The production showcased Gaga’s signature blend of avant-garde fashion and electrifying performances. A reimagined version of “Shallow” saw the artist performing from a gondola, while her solo rendition of “Die With a Smile” (originally recorded with Bruno Mars) received a dramatic makeover for the live stage.
The show appeared to conclude with an explosive “Bad Romance,” complete with darkened arena and rolling credits. However, Gaga surprised fans with an encore performance of “How Bad Do U Want Me,” trading her elaborate costumes for a casual Cramps t-shirt.
Vegas kicks off limited North American run
The T-Mobile Arena hosts Gaga for three nights total – July 16, 18, and 19 – before the tour moves to San Francisco and Los Angeles. According to Billboard, the tour sold out during its first day of general sale, with estimates suggesting it could become Gaga’s biggest tour in over a decade, potentially grossing between $100-125 million.
The artist chose arenas over stadiums for this tour, stating: “We chose arenas this time to give me the opportunity to control the details of the show in a way you simply can’t in stadiums.” This intimate approach allows for the theatrical precision that brings her “Mayhem” vision to life.
Tour details for Little Monsters
The North American leg continues through September 17, hitting only six cities – Las Vegas, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, New York, and Chicago – with multiple nights in each location. International dates follow, with the European portion running through November 20.
For Vegas locals and visitors hoping to catch future Gaga performances, the limited tour routing suggests strong potential for additional dates in 2026, as the superstar has “left plenty of demand on the table” according to industry observers.
