Early morning shooting on Las Vegas Strip leaves one injured

A shooting on the Las Vegas Strip early Saturday morning left one person hospitalized after an altercation between several men escalated to violence.
Incident near Flamingo intersection
The shooting occurred around 12:15 a.m. on the sidewalk along South Las Vegas Boulevard near its intersection with Flamingo Road. According to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, the incident began as a fight between multiple individuals before shots were fired.
Officers quickly responded to the scene and took one person into custody. The shooting victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment and is expected to survive their injuries.
No ongoing threat
Police assured the public that there was no continuing threat following the incident. The confrontation appeared to be isolated to the individuals involved in the initial altercation.
The area near Flamingo Road and Las Vegas Boulevard, one of the busiest intersections on the Strip, saw a brief police presence as investigators processed the scene. However, normal operations resumed shortly after the incident was contained.
