Country music legend Dolly Parton announces historic return to Las Vegas

Las Vegas entertainment fans have something spectacular to look forward to in December 2025, as global superstar and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Dolly Parton has announced a limited-run engagement at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, featuring six performances running from December 4 through 13, 2025.
First Vegas residency in over three decades
This marks Parton’s first extended run in Las Vegas in 32 years, making it a truly historic event for both the entertainment capital and country music fans worldwide. The timing coincides perfectly with National Finals Rodeo, when Las Vegas becomes the epicenter of country culture and thousands of rodeo enthusiasts descend upon the city.
“To say I’m excited would be an understatement. I haven’t worked Vegas in years and I’ve always loved singing there. I’m looking so forward to the shows in The Colosseum at Caesars and I hope you are as well. See you there!” Parton shared in her announcement.
A career-spanning musical experience
The show, officially titled “Dolly: Live in Las Vegas,” is described as “a hit-driven concert event bringing Dolly back to Vegas for her first extended run in 32 years. Weaving together seven decades of classic hits and fan favorites including ‘9 to 5,’ ‘Jolene,’ ‘I Will Always Love You,’ ‘Coat Of Many Colors,’ and many more”.
All shows will begin at 8 p.m. at The Colosseum, the intimate 4,000-seat venue that has hosted legendary residencies from Celine Dion to Elton John, providing the perfect setting for an up-close experience with one of music’s most beloved entertainers.
Exclusive VIP experiences available
For fans wanting to make this once-in-a-lifetime experience even more special, VIP packages are available that may include a personal photo op with Dolly herself, an onstage tour, access to Dolly’s Rhinestone Lounge, a deluxe gift set and more. The packages include the “Dolly Forever” VIP Package, which features access to a pre-show reception in Dolly’s Rhinestone Lounge, the Live in Las Vegas VIP Gift Set and early access for shopping merchandise.
For the ultimate experience, fans can purchase the Star of the Show VIP Experience, which includes all the perks of the “Dolly Forever” package, plus a professional photo op with Parton and an onstage tour.
Record-breaking recent success
Parton’s Vegas announcement comes at a remarkable time in her already legendary career. She has achieved 27 RIAA-certified gold, platinum, and multi-platinum awards, and has had 26 songs reach #1 on the Billboard country charts, a record for a female artist.
Her 2023 album “Rockstar” made history by debuting at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 – her highest position ever on the all-genre chart. The rock-influenced album earned 128,000 equivalent album units, with 118,000 in album sales, in its debut week, and marked her biggest sales week for an album in the modern era.
The album secured her ninth No. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart and her first on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums chart. In March 2024, “Rockstar” earned RIAA GOLD certification just four months after its release.
Literary and cultural achievements
Beyond her musical accomplishments, Parton became the first country artist honored as Grammy MusiCares Person of the Year, and has earned 11 Grammy Awards and 52 nominations, including a lifetime achievement award.
On October 17, 2023, she released her second New York Times Best Seller coffee table book called “Behind The Seams: My Life in Rhinestones”, which was the second of a planned trilogy; the first book, “Songteller: My Life in Lyrics,” also was a best seller.
Vegas history and context
According to Rolling Stone, Parton’s past performances in Las Vegas include several shows at the Riviera Hotel in the early 1980s, along with four concerts at the Mirage Hotel in 1993. From 1990 through 1993, the singer performed nearly 50 shows at the Mirage, making this upcoming residency a significant return to a city that has always held special meaning for her.
Ticket information
Tickets for “Dolly: Live in Las Vegas” go on sale Wednesday, June 25 at 10 a.m. PT via Ticketmaster. Given Parton’s massive popularity and the limited nature of this engagement, combined with the fact that Parton has not been out on the road since her “Pure & Simple” tour wrapped up in 2016, with only scattered one-off full concerts in the years since, tickets are expected to sell extremely quickly.
This residency represents a rare opportunity to see one of America’s most treasured entertainers in an intimate Las Vegas setting. For the city’s entertainment landscape, it’s another prestigious addition to the ongoing legacy of world-class performers who have made Las Vegas their temporary home.
