Beyoncé closes historic Cowboy Carter tour with star-studded Vegas finale

Destiny’s Child, Jay-Z, and Shaboozey join Queen Bey for unforgettable final night
Queen Bey brought the house down Saturday night at Allegiant Stadium, concluding her groundbreaking Cowboy Carter tour with a spectacular finale that featured surprise reunions, special guests, and multiple standing ovations from a roaring Vegas crowd.
The July 26 performance marked the end of Beyoncé’s 32-stop stadium tour, which began in April at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium and took the superstar across the United States and Europe. The tour, officially titled “Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin’ Circuit Tour,” supported her eighth studio album and celebrated Black country music heritage.
A night of surprises
True to her promise of “a very special show,” Beyoncé delivered an evening packed with unexpected moments. The biggest surprise came when Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams joined their former Destiny’s Child bandmate onstage, sending the crowd into a frenzy as they performed classics “Bootylicious” and “Lose My Breath” with their signature synchronized choreography.
“Give it up for Shaboozey y’all,” Beyoncé announced as the rising country star made his first appearance on the tour, performing their collaboration “Sweet Honey Buckin'” while dressed in a white tank, American flag scarf, and matching pants.
Husband Jay-Z also made an appearance, performing “Crazy in Love” with Beyoncé followed by his solo hit “Ni**as in Paris.” The power couple sealed their performance with a kiss, continuing a tradition that began when Jay-Z first joined the tour in Paris on June 22.
Fashion and family moments
The fashion-forward tour showcased Beyoncé’s ability to blend high fashion with cowboy couture throughout its run. For the finale, she debuted several new looks, including a special “Deja Blue” shirt honoring her 13-year-old daughter Blue Ivy, who served as a lead dancer throughout the tour and delivered a standout performance during “Deja Vu.”
Fans embraced the Western-glam aesthetic, arriving at Allegiant Stadium in sparkly chaps, cowboy hats, boots, fringe, and metallic accents. The “Las Beygas” celebration began days before the final shows, with fans gathering at Caesars Palace for dance parties and photo opportunities with a custom “Welcome to Las Beygas” sign.
Breaking records and barriers
The Cowboy Carter tour proved to be both a commercial and cultural phenomenon. According to Pollstar, the opening five-show run at SoFi Stadium alone generated $55.7 million, making it the highest-grossing single-venue engagement ever for a female artist. The tour sold 94% of its ticket inventory across all dates, prompting the addition of ten extra shows due to overwhelming demand.
Beyond the numbers, the tour sparked a wave of entrepreneurship, particularly among Black women who launched Western-themed businesses to cater to concertgoers. The economic impact extended to hotels and local businesses in tour cities, demonstrating Beyoncé’s influence beyond music.
A tribute to legacy
“I want y’all to know these tours take years and years and years. I actually started working on this tour before the ‘Renaissance,'” Beyoncé told the crowd, acknowledging the extensive preparation behind the production. At one point, she declared the Vegas audience might be “the loudest of the tour.”
The tour’s name referenced the Chitlin’ Circuit, the network of venues where African American performers played during segregation, paying homage to the Black artists who paved the way in country music. Parkwood Entertainment marked the finale as National Day of the Cowboy, posting: “A tribute to the roots. A celebration of the style. And the final ride of the Cowboy Carter era.”
As confetti fell and the final notes rang out at Allegiant Stadium, Beyoncé closed not just a tour but an era—one that redefined country music’s narrative and proved once again why she remains one of entertainment’s most innovative forces.
