Alison Brie and Dave Franco launch Las Vegas wedding contest tied to new film

Couples can win an all-expenses-paid Vegas wedding by popping the question at a movie theater
In a one-of-a-kind promotional campaign for their new film Together, real-life couple and co-stars Alison Brie and Dave Franco are inviting moviegoers to get engaged—literally. The two actors, who play a troubled couple in the horror-romance thriller, have partnered with film distributor Neon to launch the Together Proposal Contest: a nationwide challenge where one lucky couple will win an all-expenses-paid wedding in Las Vegas.
The rules? Simple, romantic, and just a little wild—much like the film itself. Couples must record a video of a real proposal at a movie theater (indoor or drive-in) anytime between now and August 3, then share the video on Instagram or TikTok using the hashtag #TogetherContest and tagging @together.movie.
“Just film it, post it by August 3,” Brie said in a promo video with Franco. “How crazy romantic is this?”
Franco added, “The crazier, the better.”
A Vegas wedding worthy of the big screen
The grand prize includes a full wedding experience in Las Vegas, covered by Neon—from venue to officiant, with additional perks depending on the couple’s preferences. While the exact location hasn’t been disclosed, sources hint at a stylish, cinema-inspired ceremony that reflects the surreal and romantic tone of the movie.
The contest is open to U.S. residents age 18 and over, and proposals must be genuine. Judging will consider originality, emotional resonance, and theatrical flair. The winning couple will be announced shortly after the contest closes, in time for a late-summer Vegas wedding.
Horror, love, and body transformation
Together, directed by Michael Shanks, tells the story of Tim and Millie, a couple seeking a fresh start in the countryside. As they try to reconnect, a mysterious, otherworldly force binds them together in a deeply literal—and increasingly disturbing—way. Described as a body horror romance, the film explores themes of identity, co-dependency, and emotional intimacy through a surreal, sometimes terrifying lens.
The movie releases in theaters nationwide on July 30, making it both a cinematic date-night pick and the backdrop for potentially unforgettable proposals.
From kiss cam to campaign
Brie and Franco’s contest launch coincided with viral buzz on social media. The film’s Instagram account shared a tongue-in-cheek post referencing a real-life proposal caught on a concert kiss cam earlier in the week. The clever tie-in earned praise from fellow actors, including Eiza González and Ilana Glazer, both calling the campaign “brilliant.”Brie, who recently starred in Sunset Boulevard on Broadway, and Franco, known for his work in The Disaster Artist and Now You See Me, have previously collaborated on film projects and are now bringing their off-screen chemistry into promotional creativity.
